Cool.. thanks for the link.. I will definitely look into finding someone that is doing the process near me to see how it compares to the chrome cost... specifically frames... I would love to build an ironhead like the boat tail bike... can you post pictures of your "chrome" parts you mentioned ?...

No need to chrome aluminum pieces. Polish to a mirror finish.

So true whitewalls.. I think I like the chrome on the frames because they show age in a certain way... and they are unusual... I used to have an aluminum BMX 20in.race bike in middle school..3.1 pounds or something close..less than 4 . Anyway... I've sanded and polish more aluminum than I care to think about..on some bikes I like to wipe over it with scotch Brite after it's polished

PK ripper.. I remember the name... was that frame similar to the skyway? Or did skyway make it?.. the frame I had had a huge downtube ...7071 T6 hardness..big ass heliarc welds... it was a thing of exotic beauty for a kid in the middle of farmland to have something of that caliber,, just like the pictures in the magazines from California...lol...it was a Race Incorporated..race inc
I would have loved it in chrome.. but I think the chrome would probably be close to weighing as much as the frame... sacrifices for speed
