Default Bassani Road Rage III and V&H FP3 XL1200

Hi guys,

So just got back onto a sporty and am happy to be back on it! Anyways I put on a Bassani Road Rage III Stainless Steel pipe and a V&H FP3. Trying to set the base map and as close as I can guess the 2 into 1 Slant pipe is the closest to the bassani. Tried the comp 2-1 and it fell on its face and the generic map was poppy as all heck. Anybody out there have any luck with this. Oh and I emailed V&H already.

Call V&H and they will walk you threw what map will work best. You can call from the app. Also you are likely going to have to auto tune a lot of that out. I put Short Shots on my Iron and flashed it with the correct map and it popped and spit like crazy. Give the bike about 2 tanks of gas to get used to the new map and then start auto tuning. Man I tell you the auto tunes I did fixed every bit of running issues and I gained back some fuel mileage. Good luck man.

Thanks I guess i'll just keep trying V&H and then auto tune. Was hoping it was plug and play.

Sometimes they are BUT what I've found is that smaller displacement bikes AKA Sportsters tend to be finicky when changing maps. Every big twin I've helped remap required no autotune. Trust me it will run great after the auto tune. I found it worked best to do the auto tune is 3 back to back sessions. When you autotune and fill some blocks stop, apply changes and keep autotuning. I would tune once in town stop and go, then hit the highway at normal speeds, then finish up with a high speed run. Constantly changing speed and throttle settings. I did these sessions 3 different times and it gets better and better after each one.
