Good.
I'm using a program called GIMP for animation and it's a learning curve.
Speeding it up 8 times was interesting but I realize that won't be very informative.

Finally got this animation drawing finished.
I have to admit, after many measurements and checking,
I found that pump pressure does in fact run to the boxes.
I was under the impression for the longest that the oil path was block when the lifters came off the base circle.
That isn't the case, at least for 91-99 cases it isn't.
Once off the base circle, the path is very restricted, kinda like the smaller restriction I used in pump testing.
But pump pressure is never blocked entirely through the lifters.

edit:
I forgot to add the plunger spring so I added it and replaced the original I posted.
I did cut the spring away from the check valve since it got so busy there with the spring around the check valve.

Thanks. I actually enjoyed that little project.
Been wanting the ability to make animation for several years.
But I'm slow about catching on I guess.
Feel free to critique.
I did a good bit of internal gutting and measurements but the program I'm using to draw can't really use the dims.
So 2.38" becomes about 2-1/3 by eyeball. Then eyeballed to the next eyeballed part.
But the pieces are relative to each other as the cutouts went.
I'll post those pics as well.

Ok, I got hooked on the GIF thing and dragged through a presentation on hyd lifter noise on initial startup after replacing them.
Please check for accuracy and stuff.
This one caused the coffee pot to run dry.

Yeah I used a Dremil tool with a metal cutting blade to slice the lifter open.
That pic is actually the second one I did that way.
I found on the first one that the ID of the lifter body shrunk just enough to make it tough running the plunger back in.
But I got the same result on the second one so.....
I guess the heat involved in cutting shrunk the body a little.

my experience is heat would have an opposite effect.i think that removing approx.40% of the wall area caused the lifter o.d.to collapse slightly.and possibly the presence of a burr from the grinding disc..nice job with that anyways.

You may be right on that.
I did expect it to loosen the clearance before I cut it.
The dirty details are I cut the first one, filed the corners in case of burrs, then cut a 45 degree angle on the corners, then filed again, then honed the ID with sandpaper on a dowel.
Then still had some interference but less.
The reason I cut the second one was in all my windings, I lost the sharp details of the inside features.
So I cut the second one and forced the plunger in for the pics.
Showing the innards is what I was after anyway.
It's a tight fit but I can still force the plunger up and down by hand.
