Default Anyone know who can shorten fork tubes?

One and all,

In the past I took a couple of bargain ebay finds to Frank's Forks/Forking By Frank in nearby Evanston, IL to have them cut some 8" over and 10" 33.4mm fork tubes to the stock length. They did a great job. Good price and rapid turnaround.

I've had another 33.4mm fork set for a few years now that needs to get cut to size. Frank's seems to be MIA. Frank's Forks closed at the Evanston, IL, said they intended to reopen.

Over the YEARS since their Evanston closing, I've tried leaving emails to see if they're open. When I call their voice mail box is alway full. Now they're supposedly in Mississippi with an opening date of July 01, 2021.

Seems like maybe they're not a going concern anymore. Does anyone know?

If Frank's isn't open anymore, does anyone have a reliable source to cut/machine some fork tubes to standard spec? Good suggestions appreciated.

Looks like they are a wee bit late on their re-opening......

I hate to loose a resource like that.

Franks is truly the best for fork tubes. Sad to hear they might be gone. They seemed to be unwilling to modernize. The last time I purchased from them just a couple of years ago they didn't communicate via email and the only payment method was COD delivery.

They were carring-on conversations on Facebook as late as last week. You need to log-in to see more than their home-page.

Hi! I'm looking for stock tubes for a 1980 Honda cb750c. That would really put the icing on the cake for me for this bobber project i have going.
