Default Rush or Khromewerks slip ons?

I have a few questions for those of you running either Rush or Khromewerks black powder coated slip on mufflers on your Sporty.

1. How good is the quality of the mufflers?
2. Do the mufflers come with new hardware or is the stock hardware reused?
3. Is the finish on the mufflers a close match to the stock heat shields?
4. What size baffles are you running?
5. Do the mufflers sound similar to a full system or more like a slip on?

Thanks

I can answer to the Khromewerks HP Plus slip ons. The quality is excellent. The chrome finish and quality of the mufflers most will say is second to none and they have the deepest sound of any exhaust I've ever heard on a sporty. Definately NOT tinny or obnoxiously loud but not quiet either.
BT owners say the same thing. I bought mine at 2wheel.com and they came with clamps but not the crossover gaskets.
They are ceramic coated and use some kind of wool that escapes me atm rather than fiberglass and won't discolor from heat.
Their patented baffle provides great low and midrange torque without being restrictive.
I've got a pic here somewhere of the straight thru design.
Same torque curve as the CycleShacks but a little better low and midrange torque.
My 1250/570 build does 88 ft.lbs torque by 4500rpm on my modest build. Mid to upper 80s HP by 5500rpm where they level off with my cams.

Thanks 60Gunner! If it's not too much trouble, would you be able to post a video of a hard first gear takeoff and second gear throttle pin? I really would like to hear how they sound under load. Thanks

I'll see what I can do in the next day or 2. Cool and rainy all day today. I'd just smoke my tire trying to take off hard and probably pinning it in 2nd for that matter.
Suppose to dry up tomorrow.

Khromewerks original style for me. A nice deepgrowl but not an antisocial PITA. Had 2 MOTs & no complaints about noise with mine

Glamazon, when you say original style, are you referring to the tapered look of the stock mufflers?

I'm running the Khromewerks tapered style. No experience with the Rush. Compared to my old SE slip ons they're a good bit louder, very nice sound IMHO. The bike feels to pull harder across the rpm range as well.

Thanks Knuckles. Did you purchase them in chrome or black? I am curious as to whether or not the black matches the stock heat shields in color and texture?

Never had Rush but I ran the Khromeworks
HP plus for several years. I didn’t know what it was
at the time but my bike got bad reversion from
those. I switched to Python 3 slip ons and never looked
back.
