Default Need some help chasing a tick

I am working on a 1988 1200 it develops a intermittent tick after bike is up to temp.
I replaced the lifters,rocker arms and shafts. There is no apparent damage visually.
Took oil pressure readings with engine hot it was with in hd specs, but when you take it out for test ride it starts to tick, then it goes away and comes back.
Also checked the relief valve at the filter it was ok.

My first thought would be to adjust the primary chain, noise can travel in funny ways.

Change your oil viscosity-- it doesn't really matter which way. If it gets worse,go the other way. Older motors tend to get sensitive to oil viscosity. Its a cheap and easy fix, try this first, before you try the expensive crap.

Located the tick , it was a valve seat that was coming loose !

Took the heads off to put a 1250 kit in , had the heads redone and when they went to install the new valve guides (they heated the head to 300 deg ) the seat fell out.
