Default E1 Clutch: What are you running for lube?

Decided on the E1 rather than the Alto Carbonite after much deliberation and it came today. Fasst shipping as usual from the Hammer Crew.
I know E1 recommends ATF and specifically B&M Trick Shift. I can't bring myself to run anything that thin in my tranny.
I decided on Spectro Heavy Duty Primary Chaincase Oil

It's an SAE 85wt petroleum based gear oil just a smidge thinner than F+. I figure it should be the best of both worlds and Spectro is good $h!+.
I thought about blending it with 25% original B&M TS since I have some laying around but probably wont.

Curious what everyone else is running and how it performs on hookup and shifting.

I also ordered the FAG 7200B-TVP bearing
Probably overkill but...

I'm running Redline 75w140 GL-5 gear oil. Stock clutch spring, Barnett Kevlar extra plate disc pack. Tranny seems to like the heavy GL-5 gear oil and no complaints from the clutch.

Also a FAG 7200B. It's like the bronze oil pump drive. Worth doing while you're in there.

I’m using the Harley Formula+ with excellent results.
If it’s good enough for Hammer Performance and their
bikes it’s good enough for mine! Oh and I
have almost 1000 miles on my E1 and it’s been
great! Clutch grabs like a racing bike wants to bring wheel off the ground.

Yeah, non synthetic for the kevlar clutches. I know Hammer uses the F+. I just don't like using Harley oil.
The Spectro is really close to the same viscosity. 19.6 @ 100C as opposed to 20.1 with F+.
I was running the platinum STL 75/140 with the stock clutch but it's synthetic. Thing with kevlar is smoke 'em once and they're toast so no synthetic.

Are you running the kevlar or carbon fiber Barnett Tomcat? Barnette has both.

I just started using a new primary fluid from spectro specifically made for Sportsters. Seems to work fine so far. I do get a slight squeel on hard take offs which I didn't get when I was using spectro's 20/50 synthetic. But that's a known issue many Alto Carbonite users have which Alto Carbonite says will go away. It used to squeel even more with amsoil in it. I use the e1 15% extra pressure spring plate along with my Alto Carbonite.

Fricken' senile old F$@&!

How are you liking the characteristics of the Alto Carbonite otherwise Mike. That STL you're running is what I'm running in the stock clutch and I would be running it in the Alto Carbonite too. But not in a kevlar clutch.
Spectro makes some good $h!+. That's why I'm running the non synthetic stuff in the E1.
I had a price match and everything done at 2wheel for this clutch and slept on it another night before going with the E1 at Hammer.

I don't think the squealing is a brand or disc material issue or even a type of fluid issue but more an eliminating the spring plate aka anti-squeal plate and having to be a bit more particular on how you work the clutch.
Even people replacing it with stock discs/plates have had squeal.
Some oil may mask it better. My thinking the oil that slips a little more or is less grabby I should say will be more forgiving on the squealing. Just a theory of mine.

I like the alto. It hooks up nice. Have had no issues with it yet in about 20,000 miles with it on. I don't do my clutch adjustments. I don't know what is wrong with me but I always mess it up somehow. I have tried several times but I keep messing it up so I just let my Indy do it. He usually does t charge me for it. I can never get the tension on the screw right Everytime I think it is good I'm told it is to tight and I will destroy my clutch with how I have it so I usually don't touch it.

I'm sure I would've been happy with the Alto too. It is a different animal tho.

I am trying this:
http://www.atiracing.com/products/tr...rts/superf.htm
30 weight instead of thinner ATF. And type F like trick shift. So far it is just fine with less primary noise although that is subjective in nature.
I am using the 15% stronger spring E1 kit from hammer.
