Default Ramflo air cleaners still available

I like the look of these, both round and oval, but as many folks here have noted, there's no North American distributor for these. What's available over here seem to be generic copies of Ramflo.

I tried contacting a few sites downunda, no response. This UK vendor replied pretty quickly, saying they have quite a few pre-cut back plates that might fit if you let them know what carb you have. They also have blank back plates so you can cut to fit.

Are they still available? Do they still catch fire?

Don't know if they catch fire or not. I've read posts about that very thing, other posts about the filter elements breaking down and potentially getting sucked into the intake, other posts saying it's never EVER been a problem after a quarter of a million miles, manufacturers' claims that that's all in the past, etc.

Another "your mileage may vary" argument like external breathers vs right back into the intake, or rubber vs rigid mount, or Sportsters rock/Sportsters suck, well, you get the idea.
