Well you are....

150% right. I didn't see this big mistake as the air cover is the one of the 2016 picture. This one is broken and I use it for my first bicolor painting test
I put it on the bike to know if the paint resist, and I din't think about it after.
As I have some black paint some where I may paint it one night in my garage.

At same time I have 2 round air covers I need to adapt on my S&S carb, that will be beter indeed.

I recieved this end of last week. I succed to remove 95% of the scratch lines you see there.
I wonder if orginaly the visor was miror polish or not ?
The disc to cover the top is miror so miror was the only option ?
Indeed I'm not so fan of "chrome".

the highly polished mirror finish won't last long.it will gradually fade if that's what you want.

Well I remove 95% of the scratch and the result is not so bad. Not fan of chrom, so if the polished miror gradualy fade it's not so bad finaly. More natural for an old Sportster. Now I'm looking for a switch and propbably use the notch to let blue light passe trough (Hi-beam idiot light).
