Adjustable push rods preference?
If you have adjustable push rods, which brand do you prefer and why? Also do you prefer EZ or regular which you remove the rocker boxes to install. Please not a bunch of why or just use stock, let's just leave it at I want adjustable and I can. Just want which ones do you like and why. Thanks

I have S&S adjustable pushrods in my 03. With the engine in the frame the ability to adjust without removing tank or struggling with rocker bolts seems like a logical choice.

+1 for the S&S pushrods. At present, the most affordable quality pushrods available. They have one set with an adjustment range of 9.5 - 11.5 inches or some such that will fit nearly anything in the H-D field. I have also had good service from the Comp Cams pushrods, but I don't know if they make any short enough for an XL.

i use rivera and colony covers to access
i also run s&s spacers and run in the solid mode, just enough clearance to give .030>.035 stem clearance to quite the valve train.
reason: rev can go to 7.5k, no worries about lifter collapse or pump up, cold start
only thing i can suggest is finer TPI allows for finer adjustment.

+1 on the tappet limiters. An often overlooked upgrade that I have used frequently.
