Going back to Stock Silencers
Hi All
I have just purchased a 2008 883R fitted with Vance & Hines Slash Cut silencers, a Dumplings Motor Air Cleaner Filter and what is described as a Fuelling Module (?).
I intend to replace the extremely loud silencers with a pair of 883R stock silencers but not sure if I also need to also replace the air filter and module with standard items.
Any advice would be welcome.
Based in the UK.

You can do either/iether. Good call on ditching the V&H pipes as they are total chit. Just install stock mufflers and leave the rest alone as they will work. If you have an aftermarket ECU then it may need updating as the swap from the V&H to Stock might drive this. What do you mean by 'fueling module'?

What is the fuelling module?
If you restrict the air flow through the engine you may create an overly rich situation which will be worse in the long run to the overall health of the engine.

Hi
Thanks for the info, as for the 'Feuling Module' I think the dealer ( not a Harley dealer) is a bit confused and it is in fact the V&H Fuelpak FP3 he was referring to. The ECU is the stock item so no problems there. Once all the parts have been replaced I will take it along to my local Harley dealership to have the ECU set back to factory spec just to be sure all is OK.
Cheers, Dave.

If you install the FP3 app on your phone and follow the instructions from V&H you will be able to connect to the FP3 on your bike and see what map has been loaded.
Once you restored the bike to stock I would recommend you load the improved map for stock hardware.
