Default quick shifters

looking to make a quick shifter for my 97 buell drag bike would like to make my own. using an old set of points as an IG kill. has anyone tired this? just looking for some ideas. thanks

quick shifter. I put a momentary micro switch in my shifter peg but I haven't had time to try it out yet.

Way back when we used the neutral switch (two wire i believe) on a shovelhead trans with a shift drum. Power to coil through the switch. We added detents in each gear position for the switch ball to reside in. Tuned the "cutout" time by shimming switch in/out with the sealing gasket. Seemed to work pretty good.
Not sure how extensive your looking to go.
