I wanted to put Givi's at first, but got "that" look from my girl meaning I should put something "nice" on the bike. Nice and convenient isn't always matching... How wide is the bracket on top ? (Where the lock is ?? )

Awesome kit by the way, meant to travel

Easy Brackets come in two different widths, standard and slimline. I use the standard ones. I'm not home right now to actually measure how wide they are, a guess is ~1.5"-2" (I'll measure them sometime I'm home). They are wide enough that the Pelican cases clear the shocks. If the bags have a cutout for the shock, the slimlines would probably work (and look better).

Thanks for the compliments. My Pelican setup is purely functional and not meant for style. I get they aren't for everyone.

I have used the same set of Easy Brackets for 5 years now on two different sets of saddlebags. They are the bees knees. Customer service is great. When my bike went down and I needed additional mounting hardware from Easy Brackets it was simple to order the additional parts I wanted.

I oil the locks and parts every so often as I ride in torrential down pours when I am out West. I love these things. I wouldn't consider another bracket. These are substantial.
