Here in the US,
If a company don't lie cheat and steal, they might as well sign up at the soup line.

It's not a good thing for consumers though.
Maybe that's why some get used to the word 'modifications'.

Honestly, I've always said that I'm usually the last owner of about everything I've bought.
I assume it's going to tear up eventually and that I'll have to fix it later.
When I was walking miles and miles a day marking utilities, I did carry a roll of duct tape for the souls of my shoes.

I don't know about that. The leather seats in my car are all leather. If they are only partly leather, then the manufacturer should say so.

I don't have much that's good to say about Corbin, but they do at least clearly say that their seats use leather for the panels you actually sit on, and vinyl for the side panels. They don't try to claim that their seats are all leather when they're not. I think that mine actually is all leather, because they don't have a vinyl material that matches the distressed brown leather!

I felt guilty after saying that.
There are many quality business here.
But the mainstream product has been dicey for a long time now.
For many years now, the 'quick sale' industry has ruined, in my opinion, the quality factor of products.
Most everything I've bought lately has been basically 'throw away' items.
When they shouldn't be.
I've got an expensive generator that I now have to find a way to replace the petcock on.
The construction is a shaft with a grommet that plugs into a 1/2" hole on the bottom of the plastic tank.
Grommet into plastic as a means to hold in fuel means it wasn't made to last.
I guess that's my point.

LOL!
You mean the 'real' duct tape or the numerous artificial ones!

Not really; that's where it says 'Viking leather'. That's what the debate is about:

Well, the GM cars from about '97 on have the info in their Appearance and Care sections of their owner's manuals. Yes, Even the Cadillacs. I've always wondered how they got 'Chamois' color to match.

Haha,
Have you noticed that too?
There's always a generic brand of 'equal quality' for a much cheaper price.
But "Ours is just as good".
"If you like brand X, you'll love our product".

Call me cynical, but my wallet knows the difference of buying 1 or 4 of the same thing.
