Default What Year Range of Heads & Cylinders?

Greeting Fellow Forum Members,

What year ranges of heads/cylinders can I use?

Bike: 2000 883 Custom

I know from my last build that 04 to 07 heads & cylinders will work on the above.

What is the year range of heads/cylinders that will bolt Right up On the above?

How high up in year can I go?

Straight up bolt on or mods necessary?

Any help is appreciated.

Best regards,

FiftySixer

1991-2003 are bolt on
2004-2006 are bolt on 2007 heads are different (these require a new motor mount I believe)

Thank you Rocketmangb for the reply.

So anything in the range of 2004 to 2006 are bolt on.

The motor mount to adapt the 07’s - will that bolt up to the 2000 frame?

Again my thanks for the tech support as I’m one step closer to knowing what I need.

Best regards, FiftySixer

Sorry
I think the top motor mount is needed after 2004
Also the front motor mount has to drilled for a larger bolt to replace the stud

Thank you Rocketmangb, for the reply and sharing your expertise.

I’m head hunting now but When the time comes for the conversion - if I can’t find a decent set of 04-06 1200 heads By that time - I’ll buy them from Assembled from hammer and get them staged.

Thanks again,

Best regards, FiftySixer
