This place is one of the best support forums for any product on the internet - All due to the quality of people who hang out here...
I have gained much from being here, which almost always translates into saving money...
So...
If you have been helped by this place, please consider purchasing a membership subscription to the XLForum to keep this forum financially viable. Remember, your local dealer charges nearly $100/hour...

Totally agree with IXL2RELAX, you only need to have found the answer to something that saved a trip to the shop/dealer that will have saved you far more than the membership fee. Join now!
How much it's saved is a tricky one to answer though, sometimes ignorance is bliss.
I have done quite a few small mods that have come from here and this coming winter will change out the clutch spring plate just as a precaution. It's a job i can do myself and just might save me a wrecked clutch and huge repair bill down the line. Spending to save!

I haven't made to the saving money stage yet. I search for "best carb for an Ironhead" and 45 minutes later I'm online buying a VM38-9 along with manifold rubbers and support. The Next search and I'm buying the Ultima EI kit. Both are going to save me headaches and frustration which is more valuable than money right now so I'm good with it. I'm buying the right parts now instead of after I've tried my best guesses at what to try next.

Not sure you can put a price tag on it. Only support forum I've ever paid for.
Unfortunately there will always be people that take what they need and go and never even think about the cost of a place like this or time others put into it.
The Sportsterpedia alone is worth the cost of a subscription. If you haven't checked it out, I highly suggest you do so. Then break out the card. It's a few lousy bucks. Most of you probably spend more in the bar on a Friday night chasing tail and coming up empty!

I have no idea how to calculate that amount.
Besides the tech know-how there are also product review threads that save money on un-purchased or bad crap.
I search here first for anything XL related, there are usually at least a couple threads already floating around on what I want to know.
