I've been running 30psi but that's a bit low.
I'll try 35 this summer.

I did check the HD manual and went to the Dunlop tire site.......I run American Elite for front tire pressure the manual and Dunlop site both say 30 (I have been running 36 and the cycle seems to handle better) but then again I am a sedately driver.....the manual and Dunlop say 36 solo 40 double up for the rear. So tomorrow I am going to lower the pressure to 30 and 36 and see how it rides and handles......I have a 2009 1200C (skinny tire in front)

The bike I ride as a back up is a 05 with the SKiNNy front and I run the American Elites front and back .. I found it handles great with those tires and 36 in front and rear..
The factory tire sucked on the frontand ear went away too fast . the American Elites last decent and handle great on that bike.

Between 2009 and 2017 HD took a look at the tyre pressures. Only the 883N has 30 for front all other bikes are 36. All bikes except the "lows" have 40 rear the 883L and 1200T are 42.
As a percentage 6 psi for the front is quite large but the weight of the bike has not changed that much.

Good to hear the American Elites are commended here. My friend is looking to get them for his new '84 XLS roadster project. Exhaust and brake pads are priority jobs for this bike. We'll just finish installing the brake pads and tis wheels on the truck this week before can clear the garage.
