Thumbs down How much will it cost? (Pan America)

ZigWheels has it posted that the Pan America will first be available in India. So does this mean this is one of MoCo's new factories? They also posted the price at around 16.00Lakh, near as I can figure that's around $20,000 US.

Pretty sure they already have a factory there or they’re gonna have soon, India is the hottest market too expand into (lots of bike riders there) and HD wants a chunk of that pie.

That's correct. India is now booming in making motorcycles. They really stepped on the gas.
The new Royal Enfields, the GT650's. They bought the Jawa name and are now making new Jawa's in India. Same with China. The Italian brand Benelli bikes are made in China. Even 'Swedish' Volvo cars are manifactured in China by the Zhejiang Geely Holding Group Co., Ltd.

Lets not forget the Street 500 & 750's

So I don't think it's a wild guess that the Pan America will come from that region too:

the dusk of the West
India and China and other asian countries are very competitive since had plenty of cheap man power with almost no rights compared to westerners workers...
also they have vast not saturated markets ready to expand

the West for now still master most of the technology but is lured to get there

Lakh isn't a currency; it's a numerical unit: = 100,000.

So 16 lakh rupees is 1.6 million rupees. Yes, that's around $21,400.

A lot has changed in 2 years!

I don't know if the MoCo is even still selling bikes in India since they pulled the plug on their factory.
