Default Risers....The good, the bad and the ugly..

I am looking for a set of risers.....4-1/2" Straight. The dealer has them for $100+. I have seen them on Ebay, online stores etc for anywhere from $25 up. What's the quality like with the cheaper units? I mean how difficult is it to make a set of risers.

Here are some nice ones, but they are a bit expensive.

Those are nice, but I am looking to retain the stock type top clamp and speedo mount.

I have about three sets of risers that are junk cause the threads pulled out. they came in assorted boxes of parts I've collected over the years so I have no history on them but their old and probably cheaply made

does that help ya?

the genuine harley units are about 100 or so drag specialties and some others are around 60.

I had some of the cheap ones on my bike (with drag bars), on and off for about 10 years. They were fine. The trick is to use the correct length bolts.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it (especially if you don't know what you're doing). Most Sportster problems are owner-induced.

Anyone know of company that makes straight risers that will fit the stock speedo mount on a custom. 04 and UP.

I have a pair, 4.25" from middle of handle bars to bottom.
They came of a 1988 project bike I had.
If you are interested PM me.
