parts list for conversion
I just started shopping around for arts I need for my conversion, and I'm asking if I pretty much got all bases covered. Let me know what else I'll need. The cylinders and pistons/rings will be taken care of by NRHS. Headwork also by NRHS. Parts I'll need to gather:
Top end gasket kit
cam cover gasket
Andrews V4 cams
I already have an SE ignition module to take care of the fire. Got a new Kevlar clutch kit so I don't blow it apart the first time out, new clutch cable. Oh, and I have the most important thing, the manual...
Anything else that I'll need so that I won't be kicking myself in the arse at 2:00 am trying to finish the bike?

got a pic or part number? are you talking about the billet pushrod bases? if so, they don't mention for '86-'90...only 91-03 but I'll have to call I guess.

Turns out that NRHS doesn't offer the pushrod bases for 86-90 models. Justin did mention that he can look around for someone who does, possibly Zippers.
Also, should I buy new pushrods and lifters just for the sake of it, or should the original ones be fine? My indy mech. mentioned that they usually get new lifters when they do cam swaps.

Do you have a ring compressor?
You have both analogue and ratchet-style torque wrenches?
Ball End Allens?
Will the heads come back assembled?

Then I think you're in good shape...
Various lubricants/antiseize and threadlockers for each job, and you're good to go!
