You could get it in several colors, all with a textured black stripe down the center of the gas tank with white 1/4" tape pinstripes on each side:

Black
Sparkling Blue
Sparkling Burgundy
Jet-Fire Orange

People will tell you all kinds of stories about other colors being optional, but I have yet to see an original one in person or any real documentation to support it.

16ouncePBR has a terrific example of a 1968 XLH, so maybe he can post a photo for you to see.
