Default Tank swap sportster 48..2 gallon to 3.3

I made the swap today...took off the peanut tank and put on a 3.3 I picked up on ebay. I did a custom pagan gold paint job. I was worried about it loosing the lines of the 48. While you do notice the larger tank, it does not look bad. It was the fat front end on the 48 that attracted me. Now I have a fat tank to match.

It only took me about 1/2 hour. I do need to buy a shorter vent tube. I do not want to cut the one I have in case I want to swap it back.

Hope you like it.

Looks good and does flow with the lines of the 48. It only took you 1/2 hour to swap out the tank??? Wow.

Looks good. The 2.2 is the reason I bought the iron instead. Love the way that looks.

Works great; the fat front end is what makes that bike, IMHO. Nice job!!
