Default 1982 Commemorative badge

I purchased my 82 ironhead used in 1983. It had a badge on the front fender that said "Commemorative 1982". I assumed this badge was for the 25th anniversary of the Sportster. While on eBay I noticed that someone is selling the same exact badge but says it is for a 1982 FLH Electraglide. I emailed him and said I had the same badge on my sporty, he said he never saw one on a sporty but has seen them on Electraglides. My question is did they put these badges on more than one bike in 1982? Anybody have one?

Nobody has an 82 ironhead? Did your ride come with the badge? Have you seen one?

I would search eBay for 1982 XLs. Occasionally an original shows up there. Most i think, back in the day, were chopped, hot-rodded, or customized tho.

Also, search the net for "Tank Decals". There is a site out there that has most of the old HD decals: pics, prices, info, etc.

my original fender is drilled for something at the front and rear but whatever it was is long gone. the holes are about an inch from the lip.
