XT 1250 Ulysses with XR1200 heads
Buell sections are pretty much dead, so I thought that I add something new
I had this project in my mind since I saw XR 1200 with it's oil cooled heads.
I knew that theese would be ideal for Buell and it's "hot" engine hidden deep inside the chassis.
I managed to score XR 1200 heads from ebay and I sent them to Hammer Performance for porting.
Here's thread about engine mods:

I will keep update this thread, because bike is not ready yet.

I used return section to feed the heads via custom made oil cooler.
I did not wanna mess with feeding system. Will it work well? I guess I will find out soon

Well....Soon... This Spring for sure
I've only done heat cycles and 1 mile trip so far.
I need to get MOT and get it taxed before I can hit the road again.
We have shitty weather in UK right now anyway.
But all seems to be working correctly
Stay tuned

Hi
Just an update. I managed to make the bike road legal and have done 250 miles.
I need to improve the fuel map but it's good enough for break in period.
I have front and rear Wide band o2 sensors to monitor what's going on.
I've bought a map from Mike Cobb from Xoptimizers for $150 which was a huge bargain in comparison to Twin motorcycles offer which was 4000 Euros!!!
Anybody from here have an experience with Tuner pro and autotune?

400 miles done so far. I had some problems with one of the oil lines.
It was touching to the exhaust and started to leak. I replaced it and rerouted it and all is good now.
I still have to do about 200 more miles to finish break in, change the oil and then fine tune it.
