starsky is an unknown quantity at this point
Default 1995 1200, trans fluid

Any suggestions on the type of transmission fluid, and amount on a 1995 Sporty 1200? It's my buddies bike, recently acquired. We'd do the "put in as much as you take out approach", except that we've never drained it before. Wanted to make sure we put in the right amount and type of oil for his year and make.

Thanks

I use H-D sport trans fluid. From the stealer of course.

Is there an alternative to the HD brand? They are way far away.

Dunno. but it's long long gone.. (although I have a buddy who has 2 cases of it and doesn't own a sporty).

However, I switched to AMSoil when I put my Alto Clutch in.
