Smile My Mikuni Rocks

Finally got it on and all I can say is WOW!!!!

I should have done this a long time ago. Settings are perfect right out oh the box. Really just plug and play. Throttle response is instant.

Thoroughly recommended modification.

Like people say, the throttle response is a lot quicker.

Jeff -

I've only put about 35 miles on it...just a test ride, really. I'll be riding in the Jersey Sportster run this weekend and should have an answer for you then.

My quick answer now, though, is: WHO CARES...IT'S SO WORTH IT!!

Can you HSR42 owners expound a little more?

I hear a lot about quick throttle response. What does that mean? Is the response quicker enough that you can lift the front wheel with a roll-on? Does the bike FEEL faster, even though it's not? Does the bike warm up any faster? Any carb farts when you are decellerating and snap the throttle for a downshift? Does it just make the bike funner to ride?

Please help me spend my money.

No carb farts when you blip the throttle from idle

Better part throttle acceleration

Snappier feeling throttle response

Same gas mileage as the stock CV carb

"Funner" to ride

(if your getting popping from the exhaust when downshifting, that has nothing to do with the carb ... that's the ignition timing)

Trout - What Turbota said...Get one.

Dizzy - Yea, that was me. Just a stuck float. Works great now. I have to admit, though........it needs Chrome!!!

Should one advance or retard to fix this?
