I think he was going for more of that urban Apocalypse "Mad Max" look. His buddy said that he laid it down that day on the way in.  Personally, I spent more time looking at his buddies bike in the background. Although, as with most garage built bikes, there are a few ideas to file away from the monoshocked one.

1. that leaf spring is way cool.
2. I admit that I'm not very smart. The whole time I've been watching this thread, I thought the monoshock was in the front! They make mountain bikes with single front forks, called "The Lefty":

Probably already been done, but someone should do this to a Sportster.

that bike was the one that started my head spinning!  I think it's so damn cool! But mine will not have the fatboy frontend but the rear will be wider. I worked with the oiltank yesterday and if I have the time I will do more today! update will come!
