5 Gallon / Fat Boy / Street Bob Tank on a Sportster?
Has anyone put a Fat Boy style tank on a Sportster? I wanted to get a Street Bob look to my sporty, and wonder if that's possible.

I have a 1200s and all the tanks I have come across say they will not work on the 1200s. Does anybody know of a bigger tank that WILL work on the 1200s?

most aftermarket tanks are 03 and back,i read our rubber mounts use bigger frame tubes due to needed support lost to engine mounting, also now is the fuel inj sportys, i would like a tank with guage mounts, but a big twin is NOT in the future, i love my sporty, there are a few tanks out there, i bet a good bodyman could convert the big sporty tank

ya gotta cut off your old tank mounts and weld on fat bob mounts. bitterendchoppers sells a tank mount kit if you cant figure out how to fab yerself which is cheaper eh. im a welder new to ridin but not to vehicle frame mod/building, if its steel i can build it.

A good fab shop can make the tank fit.
