Default Crankcase oil strainer

Can someone help me out? I've stripped my '72 XLCH down and I've got the cases split. I'm trying to get the crankcase oil strainer out. How do you get it out? I see a hole just below the screen(see photo). If that's the pin I need to remove, how do I get it out? My service manual is no help. Thanks in advance.
Bob

Happy Bob, the pin you are referring to holds in the oil strainer, it is staked into place with the two horizontal lines radiating from the pin. The only way I have removed the pin is to tear the screen from the strainer, place pliers on the pin inside the now destroyed strainer and wiggle the pin out. Strainers and strainer gaskets are available for replacment. From the looks of things you need anew strainer anyway. Perhaps someone here on the site has a better method but this is the one I use.

Hillclimb has said it, you have to tear the screen. But if you've split the cases and the screen is in good shape, why take it out??? Hit it with some compressed air and see if its good.
