Speedo Mount for pullback risers
I've read the great posts about different ways to mount your speedo. The biggest frustration is the angle of the stock mount, used to mount onto the original handlebar clamp.
I found a way that works for me, and It looks cool..
what you'll need...
2 chrome socket head screws
2 chrome acorn nuts
2 chrome washers
2 chrome cable clamps for 1" (or whatever size your risers are)
2 small pieces of tubing.
total at the indy about 20 bucks (I did want chrome hardware)
place the tubing in the cable end of the clamp,
attach clamp to riser as shown,
attach speedo using stock bracket (or any of your choice)
insert socket head screws w/ washers through stock bracket into hose in clamp,
secure with acorn nuts
*(the white stuff around the riser is some white electrical tape to prevent scratching)*
another view
and another

I have my speedo mounted to the head light brow, but your mount looks MUCHO better. Well Done!

I like the way it looks when you're sitting on it.

A company called Accutronix also makes a bracket similar to the one you made. Unfortunately, it runs about $100. But it works great. I used it to mount my stock speedo to my T-bars. The nice part about Accu is you can get the bracket for 1" or 1 1/4" and I think even 1 1/2" bars.

How much did you need to extend the wiring or cables?
