Default A new springer seat for my 2009 Nightster...

Ive done a bit of work on my bike over the past year and each time I do something I figure that it's the last time and that I couldn't possibly do anything else. Well I was wrong. I just put on a springer seat. It was all bolt on, very easy to install and it once again makes this bike a new bike again! Im planning on taking the rear fender off again to in order to cut and weld the hole left by the ECM unit. Right now its being covered by a piece of metal that is wrapped in some leather. It doesnt look bad...but Im gonna make it look better. Ive also ordered some new grips, which are in but not installed, and I've recently just put on some new ol'skool BMX spinning footpegs. Like it or not - here it is:

Where'd you get that panel for the ECM?

It came with the kit I ordered. I got the kit off of ebay. Just search for 'Nightster spring seat kit'

It covers the hole but It could look better if some time was put into it.

There is also some pretty sick seats to choose from. Check it out!

it looks good, but imo it would look better with shorter springs or scissor springs

Scissor springs? Never heard of this scissor spring you talk of...any pics? Ive actually seen some air shocks that people are putting under their seats - but I guess that defeats the purpose of the 'springer seat'...

I think if I put shorter springs on then my ass will be right on the deck - the springs do shorten up once Im seated...

I got the 'Deathtrap' foot pegs from www.noschoolchoppers.com

It might be the best part on my bike...

Overall the bike looks great...nicely done...I like the gloss black stripe in the flat black paint. However, I hate the ECM cover on the rear fender. I would by an 04-06 fender....but that's just me.
