Default Painting (Willie G) chrome parts black

I have noticed a few people have painted some Willie G skull covers black, it it looks really good--right along with what I am trying to do my iron--keep it black. Anyone have suggestions for painting chrome parts black (probably handgrip endcaps, air cleaner cover, maybe derby cover).
Thanks for the info.

Simply clean the parts with Lacuer Thinner and scuff with a scotch bright. The important part is to lightly prime with a Self Etching Primer (Green Stuff) before you paint. Ive used this system for years now with no problems at all. Of course on wear parts like pegs and such, Powder Coat will hold up better.
