Default my XL1200N up to now

So far, I have done simple mods, like I painted the ham can black, blacked out a few shiny chromy things, raised the forks as high as possible in the trees, etc. I have also added a Corbin saddle, highway pegs, 418 12" shocks, and today I added a small rack on the back. The only things I have left on my need to do list are a windshield and figure out some way to stiffen the front forks.

Ooops I said raised when I meant lowered, I lowered the forks in the trees to raise the bike but on mine I could only go about 1/4" or so. It's noticeable in the saddle but probably not in this picture:

The easiest way too stiffen the forks would be to add a small amount of whatever oil the factory has in them. Adding less is always better than adding too much.

Hi,
Love that rack. Is it aftermarket or have you made it up/modified one? How detachable is it? Can it take much weight before doing a touchdown on the fender?
