Default Slip on install?

I just received my SE slip ons and looking through the instructions noticed some special wrenches might be needed for the in-lbs and ft-lbs stuff. Are these tools really needed or is it basically get everything as tight as i can?

I will guess on some things that are minor, but for everything else, using a torque wrench is a good idea.

You can get away without using a torque wrench. Since you're replacing just the mufflers might I suggest getting new crossover gaskets at the dealer. You *can* try to pry out the old ones, but its a steel wool type material and easily stretches and breaks. A pack of 2 gaskets is $3.99 at the dealer.

You know, while working on cars and bikes in my 34 years, I think I've used a torque wrench maybe once. So far, hasn't bitten me in the ass *knocks on wood*

Cool! Now watch it where you put the clamps, try to place them as close as possible to the lip. First time I did mine, I had them about an 1" after the lip and sprung an exhaust leak.
