What is the difference in looks,i am trying to work out whether the wheel is in fact off a fatboy or whether it is just off a sportster custom.

do you have a picture of said wheel ??

The Fat Boy wheel usually has holes in it, while the one off the custom is typically slotted..

I have photos but cant attach them,my wheel is solid ,no slots no holes just alloy centre chrome rim was told that the spacers on either side of the wheel had to be machined in order for it to fit.

Sorry if this is not the exact place for making my newbie question...

I'm now looking for a rear solid wheel for my 2010 Iron. I've seen that:

"41029-00: 16" Rear · Fits '00-'04 Sportster® and '00-'05 Dyna® models. Also fits '00-'02 Softail® models (except FLSTS and FXSTD)".

Do you know if it will be possible to fit this on my ride? Well, virtually, ALWAYS is possible... but I'm looking for not too much dramatic solutions

That wheel probably has a 3/4" bearing in it. Not sure if your 25 mm bearing will interchange in that rim or not.
