Default It finally stops!!

Thanks for the earlier help from everyone. My '91 has - or had - the worst imaginable front brakes 'til last weekend. I've asked for help on this, because I could find nothing wrong with the hydraulic system, slides, pads, etc...

The problem that I had was poor braking performance no matter how hard the lever was squeezed. The repeated suggestion that I replace the pads was correct. The original pads, at almost 35,000 miles, had about 60% or more lining left. My indy figured that they must have just been terribly glazed and so hard as to be ineffective. He sold me a set of EBC "Double H" sintered copper pads. They're a bit noisy, but I can live with that. When he charged me $33 for 2 brake pucks, I thought it was a bit much, but for the performance that I now have, I'd have gladly paid double.

All I can say is WOW! But I've still gotta get used to them... Can ya tell that I'm happy???

Again - Thanks to all of you that helped!
