Default evo's get no respect...

it's always about the ironheads...

i think it's the name frankly evolution just doesn't go, at what point will evo's be known as blockheads and get some respect around here?

seriously though at what point do older evo's become more classics like their older brothers and not just "dated bikes"? at what point do you own a classic bike, instead of just a dude who can't afford new, and can't work on an ironhead?

Who cares. I like piling on miles. Some dudes are all about the build. Some guys love to wrench. Besides - it's not like you are on a Rubber, or a Nighty, or an Iron, or heaven help you - a 48!

I've owned two Ironheads and they are the classic bitchen Sportster. That being said, I went to an Evo in 92 because "I" felt they were more reliable and could stand up to a major power build better. Now my bike is much milder than it was say 10 years ago and that is more my style (in my 50's now) now that I don't put it on the 1/4 mile any more and I am looking for an Ironhead project.

The day I worry about the social status of my bike is the day I throw it off a cliff.

Oh, so does that mean the older the bike the more of a complex it gets. so at what point does it shave its head and has to be sent to a nut house?
