Default My interpretation of a 1200R

I bought this 2007 1200R about a year ago. It was to be my second bike to have on hand when ever I was working on my 883 or if friends needed a bike to ride. I had pretty much said I would leave this one stock...

That was the plan. Somewhere I got the idea orange is the happiest color and I've always wanted to use the 1200N rear fender. As I was mulling over ideas, I kept looking at 883R's. I really like their look. Black with the orange and the racing decal.

I had our BSporty do the paint work for me. She was also able to coordinate with her decal guy custom making a decal for me. There were a few times we weren't sure it was going to work out, but in the end I think it's perfect!

I started with this:

And now have this:

Special thanks to BSporty for all the hard work on the paint and decal. Thanks to SportyTrace for the recommendations and inspirations. Thanks to Ralphthe3rd for sending me pics of all the 883R's!

LOVE your interpretation!!! Hope you are happy

For the record I did very much like the black cherry too. Just that orange... well it's gotta be faster now

It looks great. I always thought they should have done a paint set like that on the
1200R

What I have wished mine looked like (except I like the stock rear fender) but I haven't been willing to mess up a perfectly good (and pretty) chopper blue paint job.

Thanks everyone for the kind comments! It is much appreciated.

And don't worry...I'm not done yet!! I've been contemplating on when to black out the front end. Handlebars (anyone have a set of 883N bars??), risers, forks, and mirrors will be blacked out. Just takes time and money.
