What's missing from both of these is circuit breakers. You need at least one, 30 amps, between the battery + and the ignition key Batt.

this is my version of a diagram by scottericsonon...
i did away with the kill switch and oil and gen lights. i also have no turn signals just like you...
the four blocks in the middle represent circuit breakers.
