Hmmm...you should do what's right for your situation, but the Colony kits are not junk. The heads have good depth and are pretty good at resisting rounding off. As was pointed out in an earlier post, stainless steel has its own issues, and is not necessarily stronger in a given situation. If you need new primary bolts, the chromed carbon steel approach is not a bad choice (and, at nearly $2.00 a bolt, even on ebay, not all that cheap, either). Just my opinion, Good luck with your choice.

Ace hardware carries chrome nuts/bolts/washers, they keep them locked up though!!
I needed some chrome washers for a project on my Sporty, cheaper than the dealer.

i get all my stainless from McFadden-Dale Industrial Hardware Supply at an amazingly low price.

primary is easy, there are only 3 size bolts and they are common.

don't buy kits - they are all ripoffs. oh yeah, don't go to Ace or similar for same reason.
