this Bike was sold by an american soldier to a german rocker club, when he left Germany from Nuernberg back to the States in about 1989. Bike and engine were in very bad order, as a friend of mine bought it for 8.000 DM. Two years later i got it for 13.000 DM with chassis already in the condition as seen in the photo. I rebuild Engine, tranny and got her a complete new, minimized electrics in the following two years. I was riding the bike first for about two years (22.000km) with points ignition and kehin carb. This stuff turned out as unuseable shit, prevents the engine from running in a constant manner. In the following years i added a Super E carb, crane single fire ignition, Jims lifter blocks and lifters, Andrews cams, dualplugged the heads -> best modification i ever did on this engine. Engine broke down three years ago by a outcomming wristpin - circlip. Parts of the clip were wandering through the engine and finally blew up the oilpump. In the meantime the motor got new gears and shafts from Andrews, new jugs and pistons, new conrod set, crank pin and pinion shaft, new oil pump, coils and ......
I´ll never sell this iron, thinking about to take her six feet under with me, when time has come. Crazy, isn´t it?
