What treatment did you end up doing to the front side of your chopped mount? Could you post a picture from the front? Thanks!

Hey man, I am sorry it's taken so long to reply. I am currently deployed and I don't get the chance to get on here that often. The mount is just the stock speedo topclamp. I took an angle grinder to the ring and cut it down. I then sanded the front and used a textured spray paint from Lowes to paint the top clamp to match my tank (same spray paint). I darkened any non-painted metal on the underside of the front with a black paint marker...cheap, but effective.
