Long story short. After riding rice grinders for years went to the local HD dealer looking for a XL. Only had a 97 Heritage Softail classic for sale. This was when you had to order any HD scoot if you wanted it new so I bought the softail. Learned a lot from that ride as it had a carb. Since then I have had a 07 FLHX and now own a 11 Electraglide classic Limited (FLHTK) all sweet rides. I traded a car for a 99 1200S and that is why I'm here. Was amazed at the performance of the 1200. Now looking to make it even better. It will out exercelerate the 103ci FLHTK. I know they are obviously different bikes, but WOW what a difference.

Welcome from Kalifornia, I get a kick outta folks who ride a properly aspirated XL for the first time after they've been riding a BT. Lots of positive adjectives come outta their mouth ;)

Welcome to the forum from GA!
For the record, you got lucky and scored a S model for your first sporty!
Its the best all around Sportster ever built, I would take a S model over
any other model regardless of year!

Thanks for all the welcomes. I have updated my profile to include where I live. Here are a couple pics of my ride. First one is when I got it, the second is after I cleaned some of the bolt on's off.

I have updated my profile to include where I live.
If you update it again, and put something in Location, it will show up in your posts (top right), and we won't have to go to your profile to find out where you are.
