22 degrees, horziontal blowing snow, can't see the end of the street at this point, hard to tell how much snow has fallen at this point, I'd guess 3 to 4 inches.
But what would you expect for winter in Chicago, looking forward to 14 to 20 inches of snow by Thursday morning.

Hat's off my friend, hat's off, a "snow finish" on a Harley, can't say it looks GOOD, but it does look very unique, and you can't buy it......

Still sleeting/freezing rain and now has snow with it...wind is howling about 30 with gusts around 40-45. Major drifting and salt really doesn't do all that much when the temps drop like they have here, plow the road and immediately drift in behind you. Grant county Indiana, between Indy and Fort Wayne.

Well, we ventured out for the first time today. Our driveway is 1/2 mile, and we barely made it through in my jacked up truck. The plows have made one half-assed pass down the middle of the country roads, and they just blow shut anyway. I had to pull the neighbor out in his stock 1/2 ton 4x4. His drive is only a couple hundred yards, and he couldn't make it. We barely got him drug back to the house without being stuck ourselves. There are plenty of drifts over my hood. I'm only 35, but this is definitly the worst I've ever seen around here.

Looks like I'm going home early today. ERCOT (the Texas Electricity council) previously in the morning ordered rolling blackouts all across Texas. Now they are urging local governments to conserve their electrical demands. I just got a call from Facilities Management asking if we could turn off our super computers. So we're moving our work load to UT Austin and turning our shit off.

In St. Joseph Missouri we got about seven to ten inches and it's supposed to get down to -11 degrees tonight and that is not counting the wind chill. I guess it could be worse though. A couple hours south in Warensburg, MO they got 20+ inches with 10' snow drifts. The south is looking more and more appealing every day.
