Hi guys (and girls)
To make a long story short: Im rebuiding my sporty to a more caferacer inspired design including xb-forks. With that comes clip on handlebars which are 7/8 instead of 1", witch leads to buell levers.
Now! Can I use a buell clutch wire with the sportster clutch? (basicly same engine but rather ask than tear my hair of later)
Thanks! This forum is pure gold!

As long as you are using a Buell throttle set-up then yes a Buell clutch cable is what you want.

When I was changing over to drags on my '03 the dealer ordered me a buell cable cause it was the length I was looking for. When I got it home the end that conects to the ball and ramp was different than what was on my sporty. Not sure what year the cable was for. Just watch what your ordering. Just my .02, but i would definately trust what NRHS has to say.

if you are using the buell clutch perch then the cable fits. If you have the stock sporter perch then it will not. The cable end is different from a buell to a sporty. So yes it will work with what you have

The clutch cable for tuber Buells is the same at the cable end as your Sportster clutch. The lever end will, of course, fit Buell levers on 3/8" bars. I think what Dan meant was that you'd also need a Buell throttle assembly on your bars.
