harley needs to build a screamin eagle sportster for sale to the public. that is the only bike that needs a big motor . why would you wanna build or race a road king or some big touring bike like that when a factor sporty can outrun big bike with bigbore kits on them out of the hole. we need a sporty with a hundred cubic inches out of the box.:yikes

They prolly consider the Sporty to be only an entrance level bike. Altho, you`d have to be a complete moron NOT to realize by now that a big bore Sporty`d sell.

Nah, they will never do it. $15-16K Sporty would wipe out the Dyna Family. Plus the bike would be a Harley and a Half.... instead of half a Harley:lolsign

So basically you want a sporty with a hot engine? and hot suspension/brakes?

Screaming Eagle Sporty my ass. The big bikes are the only ones that need that crap. It might keep them from getting spanked ALL the time.

It would just be interesting to see how the MoCo would set up the bike. Stick with the Evo? How big? Would it be all chrome or blacked out? I'd at least like to see what they can do. Then, I'd like to see a bunch of garage built Sporty's spank it.

They could offer 88" models for next to nothing more out of their pocket at the factory level, yet get another $3,000 easy. Maybe an annual run of 1,500 Screaming Eagle "Fightsters" on the Nightster chassis.

You know, one of the coolest things about the SE bikes is the painted frame (color matched).
I always wondered why they don't offer color matched frames as an option, or by special order.
Then, they came out with the Rocker. So, I guess anything is possible.
But, I would look at a SE sportster. They could make it sweet if they tried.
