Which model will work with a 2005 Sportster that has a Daytona Twin Tec TC88A Ignition module? Will the standard 2004+ Digital model work or do I need the aftermarket version?

I have a 2005 1200 C, and installed the standard digital model. Worked great, and I later upgraded to the TC-88A ignition module. It made no difference in the way the tach worked.

By the way, my tach was one of the original black models, and all it worked with were the 2004 plus Sportsters. Still works great.

As rfranz attested, the 2004+ should work great with the TC88A. I looked at the daytona site and you could also use the TC88 model.

"Like the H-D® OE module, the TC88A sends RPM data to the OE tachometer over the J1850 data bus. TC88A units with firmware revision 2.0 and higher also provide an optional 12 volt square wave tach signal (one pulse per revolution) that is compatible with most tachometers intended for 1999-2003 Twin Cam 88® applications"

The 2004+ is the most accurate though, because it doesn't rely on the internal timing of the tachometer which has a 2% accuracy.

Thanks for the interest,

Justin

Thanks for the info.

The chrome finish button on the order page seems to be broken. When I click on it is adds a ta-1 adapter to the cart instead of the chrome upgrade.
