Im new here so Ill have lots of questions for ya. Since the 883 doesnt come with a tach, what is the redline? Id rather do something other than the HD side-by-side tach/speedo, does anyone have other options? Lets see 'em.

Not sure about the 04s and up (or what year you have) but the pre-04 883s have a 6000rpm revlimiter setting.

I don't like the side by side look myself either...ever thought of just the tach?

Well, you could do what I did, build a set-up yourself.

Dam jeff you did good, really that's a good job. What did you fab it out of stainless? What else you got there oil pressure and temp? :tour PS Jeff you got a close up of your mini shield?

Do any of you guys have the H-D tach kit with the duall gauge mount? I have it but have some questions about instalation.

I have one installed on my '91. I put it on many years ago but I might be able to help.

If your 883 is still an 883, the redline is where the motor starts stuttering (rev limiter) right after it falls flat on its face...

I just noticed my tach has a little yellow lite on its face that lights up as you approach redline...

Who knew? lol

Thanks guys for all the great input and ideas. I do like the idea of a tach only, maybe a AutoMeter or similuar to replace the speedo. Id like to see that 5' monster tach, any photos?
