hey whats up. got me 75 going again, the freaking pushrods were to tight, closed up my valves, Mick told me to adjust them, did it and fired on the first push of the button. thanks all for commenting. this is the spot. ok, how much oil should be in the tank after a ride, i just did an oil change, it is less than half full, does this sound right, i have no leaks period. thanks

It should not use that much oil. I'll have to leave it to the other guys to offer suggestions.

the thing is, should the tank be full, like it is when you first add oil, or not.

...to the tank, UNLESS the bike's been sitting awhile between rides.
If that's the case, it could've "wet-sumped" --- which means the oil in the tank could've leaked past the oil pump's check-ball and gone down into the crankcase.
If it did, it'll rise back up into the tank after running a few minutes or a few miles.

I would say that it should run at a level within an inch of the fill open. Check level right after engine shut down (hot) with the bike up right. If you raise level ride the bike and then have 1/2 a tankful something is not right. Could've blown out the breather or got transferred to the primary.

i checked my primary and added a bit to it, i dont see nay oil under the frame or anywhere else for that matter, so i added a quart and a half, guess i'll ride it and see what happens. thanks

No smoke?Pull plugs look at them it's going somewhere.Do U have automatic chain oiler still running?
