I just noticed I have 50 invites for Gmail...

GMail is Google's internet Mail service. It offers a Gigabyte of storage space for free and is excellent for sharing images, files, storing stuff you want to be able to access from anywhere etc. It is free and easy to use.

If you want a Gmail account, just post your email address and I will send you an invite. If you don't want to post it publically, you can PM it to me. First 50 responses, first come first serve.

Just a side note, the firewall at my workplace won't allow me to access internet email so the invites will go out after work, not during the day.

My Gmail accounts are up to 2 Gigabytes. You can set them up as POP mail account which means download email usning Outlook Express or Thunderbird Email, or some other email program. That is the mail reason I like Gmail is the POP feature. :smoke

Just edited your post bigbrotherwatching to include -NOSPAM- in the email address and as a note to anyone posting email addresses on here let it be known that since this is in the public part of the forum that they can be snached up by automatic email searching programs and be used for spamming so you might want to include something like this in your address...or even better...just PM preacher :D
Have a good one,
John

I have 4 or 5 gmail accounts and 50 invites per account I think with those of us that spoke up, we'll cover most everyone here and then some.

Instead of people asking for the accounts in the thread it might be better for you to PM the ones offering them so that we all do not send an invite to the same people.

Nothing wrong with Gmail, just be smart about what you email out like you would with you regular email. Gmail is no worse than Yahoo, Hotmail or any other free email service.

Comcast, AOL, Earthlink, Peoplesoft, etc... can all read and keep your email if thay really wanted to.

I also have 50 invites to give away again.

how is spam on gmail?
There's a pretty good filter, not much gets through to your actual inbox... it all sits in the Spam Folder which you have to empty once in a while.

PS: I also have a ton of invites if anyone wants, send me a PM

What the heck is the point of the invite? I just went to gmail.google.com and signed up for an account. I think it's just a way for google to try to build up their e-mail userage.
